TITLE: Processing Leader – 2nd Shift
DEPARTMENT: Processing
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist department management in fulfilling responsibilities for quality, productivity, safety, personnel relations, cost control, and housekeeping.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Assign work and provide direction to personnel while monitoring performance and efficiency of personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate the resolution of material or process problems with other departments. Assume operational control of the department to the extent required in the absence of departmental management.
  • Process and document all batches required by production in strict adherence to batch records, SOPs and GMPs. Perform In-Process testing as required.
  • Ensures daily performance goals are met.
  • Maintain raw material inventory, location, and lot control both physically and in computer systems. Unload bulk materials as required.
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment and spaces in accordance with SOPs and GMPs.
  • Maintain and operate department's purified water, material handling, and processing systems in an efficient, safe manner.
  • Leads by example.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to personnel as required.
  • Perform other duties as required to facilitate processing operations, documentation, and compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Substantial amount of walking and use of ladders required.
  • Must be able to lift quantities up to 50 pounds and handle/position quantities up to 450 pounds.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Requires the knowledge gained through a high school degree, preferably including Chemistry courses or the equivalent, and a minimum of two years of related experience.
  • Must have general mechanic aptitude and demonstrate the ability to handle multiple priorities.
